Three formats are used for carrying a laptop: the case, the backpack, and the sleeve. The choice depends on the distance travelled, the weight of the machine, and what you are carrying with it.
A computer can be carried in three ways. The briefcase can be held in hand or on the shoulder and opens quickly. Our computer bags are first classified by this carrying mode. The backpack distributes the weight across both shoulders and becomes essential when carrying more than two kilos. The sleeve cannot be carried alone: it protects the device inside another bag.
Our computer bags are divided as follows, and each format has an accepted weakness.
On the most compact computer bags, shoulder carrying is predominant, with materials and finishes similar to leather goods. A computer backpack is usually designed for wider formats intended for machines of 15 or 17 inches and a folder. A leather computer backpack exists in both styles, heavier but more durable.
Three details set a true laptop pocket apart from a simple divider: padding on all six sides, a raised base that keeps the device above the bottom, and an opening wide enough to take it out without emptying everything. Add a trolley sleeve if you're travelling with a suitcase: it helps avoid carrying both by hand.
